On Sunday 8 September, we held our summer fun day, with the theme Teddy Bears’ picnic.
It was so nice to see so many parents, children and staff, both familiar and new faces. Due to the weather, we had a last-minute venue change to Oughtrington Village Hall to be able to accommodate everyone safely.
Everyone brought along a teddy bear and we had lots of activities for the children to enjoy. We had a bouncy castle, wiggle ride-on cars, animal bouncers, soft play and hook-a-duck. We also had lots of messy play including ice cream shaving foam and teddy ice, along with scoops and cones to play with.
The biscuit decorating proved very popular where there was lots of colourful icing and sprinkles, which the children loved creating and eating. We also had an arts and crafts area with colouring and crafts and a chill-out corner including books, toys and all the teddies where the children all enjoyed their picnic box after all their playing!
We did a raffle where we had some great prizes including a hamper filled with lots of goodies, an air fryer, sports watch and many more, so thank you to everyone who donated prizes.
